Roma- full pedo attack. Lamela, Bojan, Borini

Again Luis Enrique changing his whole line up (Borri and Osvaldo out, Perrotta RB), don't know if that's a good thing actually.

No consistancy this way

Merkel just assisted what should be the winner to Kucka.

Napoli's second was a good goal as well. Very well practiced and executed set-piece.

I would say that goal is 99% Merkel's, he saved it in the line, took it and hit it on Kucka's leg where the ball rebounded and went in.

Obv couldnt watch the match, but happy with the Napoli vs Udinese result. Heard that Guidolin changed to a 4-3-3 midway, but Mazzarri matched him by moving to a 4-man himself..

Napoli was always significantly classier executioners (with much better players too) of the 3-man strategy than Udinese IMO, hence a justifiable result.

Were they? No clue, did not see the match, just saw the goals.

Not that it would have made any difference.

So Giovinco. Hadn't really caught another Parma game this season, but looks like the hype is right. He looks a different player now.

Im not sure it went down that way [maybe from the tactical point of view yes but as for the game no], conclusion is too simple there. Could be wrong as I havent watched the match but...

A friend of mine was watching it and updating me on mostly every attack and he mentioned a few 2 v 2 chances which Udinese wasted on the break, almost like golden chances. Yes, I agree Torje was poor and they did miss Toto. Also, De Sanctis made back to back wonder saves at some point, one of the shots was from Asamoah.

All in all, Udinese probably created enough but were pretty wasteful. Napoli were clever from set pieces and deserved to win because they took their chances.

Gazzetta dello Sport

Nocerinho, Milan are coming!
Inter, draw and suspicions at Atalanta.
A hat-trick from Nocerino in his Brazilian version and Ibra with a goal made from strength push the rossoneri to -2 from the leaders. Ranieri risks being bluffed at the end: Castellazzi stops a Denis penalty that was in fact not a penalty.

Lavezzi king of Napoli, Juve alone on top
Golazo from El Pocho on an assist from Cavani, then Maggio scores the definitive 2-0. Udinese remain at 15, they remain 1 point behind Conte’s team.

Catania catch Klose. Lazio second and a bit dissappointed

Roma dominate but lose. Kucka puts Luis Enrique on ice

T*ttosport

Juve first! Matri yells: “Inter for me”
The nerazzurri draw with Atalanta (1-1) but risk defeat, saved by Castellazzi who saved a penalty. And Saturday night there is the match with the bianconeri at the San Siro, without the injured Julio Cesar.

Toro-”Barreto granata. In January it could happen”
The manager of the striker confirms: “In the summer time there was little time to finish the transfer, but now…”. Interview with Guberti: “I am running, motivated and I want Toro”.

Lavezzi-Maggio, Napoli are exalted Udinese are stopped

Nocerino triple! Delirium with Ibra and Milan are on the rise

Lazio stopped. Roma fall and Genoa enjoy it

Cesena, what chaos. Only a draw for Novara. Bologna with a win

Fiorentina trouble. If Mihajlovic is out there is also Ancelotti

Corriere dello Sport

Napoli are coming!
Magic from Lavezzi, then Maggio: Udinese ko (their first), the azzurri fly at -2 from the top.

Milan show
Nocerino like Boateng: fantastic hat-trick, Parma steamrolled (4-1).

Small Inter: and Saturday they have Juventus who have double the points
At Bergamo Castellazzi saves Ranieri. In the early game what a match with the leaders.

A good Catania stops Lazio (1-1): no first place for the biancoceleste

Roma fall at Genova, Cagliari draw at Cesena. Bologna win

There is Palermo-Lecce goosebumps for Mangia

Cox sometimes analyzes matches rather too simple, so your friend could be correct - neither of us saw the match, so we can't be sure.

But overall, his post agrees with my view of Napoli and Udinese. Udinese is a less-talented version of Napoli, playing similar systems but with lesser players at almost every equivalent position, and Mazzarri probably has a few more tricks up his sleeve than Guidolin.

Sorry for late reply. It was pretty much Merkel keeping the play alive but his header would have been cleared by any of the 3 Roma players standing on the line, anyways I still like to think the same as you ;)

OT: Your boy Joel scored a winner for Lorient and even won a PK [which was missed though] in the CDL. They beat second place high-flying Montpellier

Udinese was without toto as well no?

Thats correct, no Toto, Isla or Domizzi.

I agree with your points :)

Napoli were cleverer than Udinese.

Question: "What do Inter need to start climbing up the table?" President Massimo Moratti: "Points."
