Forget his looks. His arrogance gives him bonus points.
THAT celebration, damn he's a boss. I have to admit I did steal his celebration on a couple of pro evolution winning goals.
It's not only quality. Montolivo experience and leadership will be very needed too. He will need to take a huge responsability here, become a reference, a leader and pull the strings.
Ambro is all the midfield leadership we got now. The center midfield that won Scudetto - Gattuso - Boss - Seedorf is gone. Flamini, Nocerino, Muntari & co all do their jobs, but they're all players for supporter roles... Montolivo must be this men.
Too true. One thing where Montolivo definitely beats Aquilani is that he has learned to take responsibility. Aquilani had Totti and De Rossi to lead the way at Roma and he was kind of the spoiled little homegrown talent that everyone loved and spoiled. That could very well be a reason why he struggled to prove himself anywhere since he left Roma.
But Montolivo, he established himself at lower levels. No one did him any favors. He learned to grow and become a leader at Fiorentina.
Football is not just by talent but also by characters. It's an important factor on the pitch and off it. With guys like Rino, Van Bommel and Nesta gone, Montolivo is a start to replicate that sort of leadership at Milan.
I'm very confident he'll step up his game here and prove himself a world class player.
fiero might be available if aquilani leaves...
Bingo.
