RIP Totti
Based on the fact that we are almost certainly unable to get a new coach for another season you might aswell support the only one we have

yes its a rubbish start to the season but Milan have always been slow starters

Could have something to do with the CL qualifiers, we are playing games like mid season, 3 games in a week, but we are only just starting the season, fitness/fatigue/whatever

Looking for us to bounce back vs PSV

if taskforce is all for winning, why do they promote such a ground breaking loser?
#Worst start in decades

Instead of any transfers, We NEED change in coaching tactics....Allegri is done and dusted...He is just not wise enough to change the tactics at a critical point of time in the match...he is incapable of bringing out best from talented SES...his shortcomings were exposed by Barca last season...look at his record against top teams last season, only 1 win against top 5 in serie A.....

the better question is, why did Berlusconi and Galliani decide to keep him?

best option as a stop gap coach for prandelli. :o

I believe that some point along the line last season, Allegri managed to convince me without a doubt that what you wrote is true. Lacks innovation and adaptability. Last season, if he did not manage to get it right from the start, he wasn't going to.

This was our first match this season, and since the club managed to retain him, I believe that this is simply another opportunity for Allegri to prove what he's worth. If he is indeed a stop gap coach for prandelli, he's the best we can have then.

1 match has gone. we should be patient.

he's a dying breed and prolly the last of his era of football that's left playing. i'm actually happy that he's still going down fighting.

I can respect that he got the better of our defenders.

4-3-3 is shit without a proper attacking plan. We are sacrificing one midfielder for an attacker who's doing nothing. It's also the cause why our players are so separated making it difficult for us to string short passes. Having limited skills on our midfielder also didn't help. Hopefully we remove 4-3-3 and put SES more central when Honda comes. That's how we break Catenaccio, direct through/lob pass from Honda. Niang and SES needs to be taught how to cross properly. They're wingers.

Here is my player review:

- Abbiati: He was ok; however, he showed his age/ lack of mental sharpness in Verona's second goal.

- Abate: One of our best performers to say the least.

- Zapata: awful performance. Completely lost in Toni's second. I do not understand how can people try to blame it on Abate. Was Luca Toni playing RW?

- MeXes: Our best defender; however, I think he was at fault in Toni's first.

- Constant: Raped in first half by Cacciatore and Romulo. Second half he was more attack minded but nowhere near good.

- Poli: Our best player

- Montolivo: Poor performance, kept looking to pass only to Balo.

- Nocerino: The invisible man

- Niang: Made a case for Boa lovers.

- Balo: Talented and good performance; however, he needs to stop with the diving.

- SeS: wasted on the pitch.

i really blame allegri for the way the team presented itself...this should not ever be permitted that a newly promovoted team outplays you...i can understand a loss or a draw when u miss a lot of chances but not when u get outplayed outshined and outscored...totally judged the game wrong and fucked it up with the setup...he was outcoached by mandorlini...our attacking plays are very static there is no off the ball movement so basically no opportunities to make a pass...plus we do not press when we do not have the ball we just retreat...unacceptable...i can understand no money for transfers...but no money to get a decent coach who has a clear idea of what he wants from his team? this is the 4th year in which milan has basically no idea of how to organize an attack and has no attacking plays whatsoever...if allegri fucks up against psv i really hope next morning we have another coach...even if he somehow by a miracle advances he should still be changed...it is ok to be outplayed by a better team never ok by a worse team...we are so like we need a wc cb an attacking mid but who does verona have to beat us? when they do isn't all about will setup and dedication? who is responsible for this? the coach...u don't have hunger will a winning mentality change the coach

Monto with 112 passes. Pirlo only managed 73 last night.

This is a rather embarrassing stat. In the 2nd half, our only strategy out of defense seemed to be to give the ball to Montolivo to play around with - and he was useless at it.

In the Juve match, Pogba and Vidal were involved in the buildup as much as Pirlo. Pogba played a brilliant match - so influential and seemed to cover every inch of the pitch.

Robinho with the most key passes (3).

Dear lord, this is one terrible thing that I did not miss during off-season. The very objective metric of 'key passes'.

Curva Sud Milan fighted Hellas fans in Verona.

Even me will start to ravage with that kind of effort and performance of our lads. How much more to them watching it live beside the opponents fans which pisses them off. Bless them.

Omg I'm still in disarray over yesterday's awful defeat. I personally blame Balotelli if I'll be totally honest with you all. Not because he's black or anything because that's not his fault, I blame his parents for that. Look, let me stay on topic. Mount olive is useless and only kept passing to SES because he gels his man garden. The tactics were appalling too. We should have used our trusted officials to help us out again. I don't think that new goal line technology really works purely cos both Luca Toni's "so called" goals didn't pass the line. I think Galliani has a photo of that on his cellular phone.

Mexes was badly at fault for the first goal for giving the corner away & then Mexes totally lost Toni on the corner & Zapata should have done better on the second goal.

I want to though make a comment on the performance of Abate in this game, he just at no stage in the whole 90 minutes did hardly any defensive work at all. Yes Zapata had a poor game, yes Mexes had a poor game, yes Constant was not good, but they where trying to defend & doing their best on a day when they played badly, but the performance & lack of defending from Abate was shocking.

Abate defended & played well at PSV, but he played like a right winger yesterday when the team needed help at the back & he almost looked like I did well in the week defending today does not matter. Niang was poor, but he did more defensive work than Abate & he's a forward player.

If I was coach I would have have destroyed Abate for what was a totally shocking defensive performance. When Verona scored the winner Abate was further forward than all Milan's front three which says it all when he should have been 50 yards back helping Zapata defend the situation.

Abate was propably our best player yesterday.. It´s not his fault that Mexes and Zapata can´t deal with a fucking 36 year old Luca Toni (although the defeat sucked i was very happy that he scored two goals).
I mean Verona just got promoted. We should be able to bind them in their own half not the other way round, that´s what Abate tried to do.

I think in this kind of situations it is better to start the match with your usual bench players. This way you have more motivated team (coz they need to prove themselves), a good excuse for losing the match (if it happens) and a more rested and prepared squad for the CL Qual :)

The only positive from this match could be like last year when Milan were beaten high and dry by Sam, Galliani moved and signed 3-4 players in last week of market so same thing can repeat and we get Eriksen/Astori or any other good player....

There is toooo much fodder in Milan squad Constant, Emanuelson, Bonera, Nocerino, Muntari, Zaccardo etc etc, unless we get rid of them, we can not build a strong team...
