Has anyone asked the guys what they identify as?

That's possibly pretty pertinent before anyone really says anything.

Taking the piss out of people heritage and what not is pretty redundant seen as we're all fucking mud-bloods!

Play silly games, will silly prizes.

If u think simply making a u23 team will suddenly make us top youth developers u are gravely mistaken as that to do with other and more difficult factors like money and demographics..youth infrastructure
It's a good stepping stone but some folk are really getting ahead of themselves.

Lets see if we can convince and keep some talent to play in series C rather than them wanting to make a quicker jump to first team football elsewhere.

Just a question for folk, how much talent have we or other big teams picked up from teams in Serial C?

Genuinely interested to know what the talent pool is like down there that merits the excitement.

But hey, people can get all excited and proclaim what they like. Just you...

If Bologna can demand >€50m for Calafiori, then why would Thiaw be less expensive??? And by €20m at that!?
No way. I get the flavor of the month gets a boost and all this hype. But if you look at the two players' career trajectory so far and how they've performed.....there is no chance Calafiori costs €20m more than Thiaw.

🔴⚫️ AC Milan are ready to advance in talks with RB Salzburg for Strahinja Pavlović.

New contacts will take place in the next hours between clubs, AC Milan will try to get deal done for less than €20m but talks still ongoing.

Pavlović said yes to AC Milan. 🇷🇸

By the sounds of it they are modeling it after Barca a bit but a better example is probably Jvue

You don't need to develop all of them into top players. If most of those players can turn into top division quality then that's a success. You sell most players and the cream of the crop breaks into the first-team

Juve are funding an entire mercato by selling players from their U23 team and filling in the gaps with the rest

Add in the kid’s physical gifts, and we really don’t want to lose him. Just from what we saw, he does have all the indicators for being a monster of a player at 24 or 25 years
I dont know how good but I would estimate a solid player for the first team that could be at least a sub and one for the lists which would allow us to spend more on necessary quality elsewhere.

If we just take the Kerkez example, we sold him for less than 2mill and bought FBT (5mill) which we used a handful of times and now cant get rid of. We ended up replacing him with Bartesaghi who was very poor and hardly used and then we turned around and spent another 5mill on Terraciano who also was hardly used and purchased Jimenez who may or may not feature as well. For a club that penny pinches that is a whole lot of 'fuckery' for what is a backup position.

Just trust the kids and see how they go, they can be a part of the squad and help or then sell them for a decent return.

We say we are making the team younger, trusting youth but then we make counterproductive (at least from the outside) moves.

Math doesn't add up. Samardzic can't be more than 20-25. Pobega + Bennacer = 65+. What happens to the rest of the money? Bunga bunga (Gerry style, Silvio 2.0)???
You think Those two fetch 60m?

It sounds like a squad number issue. Ibra said they don't want a squad of more than 22-23 players

It's not about picking up talent from teams in Serie C.

It's about developing youth in that league that would otherwise have to step from Prima era to first team. See @papaberlu's post abover about how it aims to work.

Not everyone will succeed, but it still allows you to grow youth substantially better. Even if a fraction make the first team, you still have better developed players you can sell/trade.

Camarda is like lamine. Anybody can see he is different to the rest of the boys on the pitch, it's a walk in the park for him.
Kinda

It's different for CFs. He needs to develop more physically to be able to play centrally whereas Yamal can impact the game from the outside with his passing and such

Spaletti said Italy will be younger at the World Cup and Ibra said Camarda will be called up to the first team after this upcoming season

He needs to grow another 5cm I think to have the potential to be a monster CF. There’s still time.

I dont think u can fund a mercato with serie c players

Like..any decent player at 18 maximum should be playing full seasons in top 5 leauge (epl serie a etc..OR english 2nd leauge is fine too)

If u arent playing in top leauge by 18 u probably suck( u can even play for bottom tier clubs like bournemouth..as long as u play vs the top teams)

Not only that but leaving on loan creates character and mental strength instead of being safe at home in u23

Maybe u23 will be useful to make some millions here and there who knows
