Agree on the defensive aspect (everyone gets a point in that one for me, as we did great putting some preassure on them when they got the ball on their half for most of the game). And please do work on your crosses. It's a necessity when we have one lonely guy (sometimes 2 as Ambro sometimes gets there) to give good crosses, not send them to no man's land (specially Oddo, Janku has a little more sense in that).
We could have beat them for a bigger scoreline. But who cares, we did our duty. Anyways they did have the bus in their box (not a very efficient one) and that's why we didn't really tested their kepper.
I remember telling myself that Seedorf was awful and Kaka was just a bit better, but if both could for just one minute be good at the same time things would work out for us. And so they did. The rest of the midfield did good for me (specially Ambro).
Dida didn't look confident from the start of the game. I don't know why, but he just didn't. And he confirmed that in the end of the game to a point that -I've never seen this in a long time in Milan- Rino had to call him on what that hell he was doing.
Gila is this enigma for me. He ran his ass off today, fought for the ball, and was isolated by his teamates for most of the minutes he played (specially with those crosses) so I can understand part of his inactivity. But the moment were he could have sealed the deal (Ambro's cross) he just seemed like lost. His self confidence is the thing that is killing him and I don't if they are working on it in the staff or what, but it's too obvious. Pippo didn't do much (didn't do anything actually, except for getting a handball), but you can see the determination he has as soon as he comes in. He knows he is the man.
Both Gila + Pippo share similar characteristics, but it's really weird to see how our game changes when one of the is in and the other is in the bench. With Gila we have the possession most the time, and we have better "ball protection", and nice quick passes in the small area to open spaces so that someone else can score (+ we guarantee ourselves a really good long championship striker) but we lack that constant threat-he can be a threat, just not all the time-. With Pippo we have the constant threat, the great movements inside the area that can change the game in a minute, and the needed selfishness of a #9 (+ we have an awesome Cup striker), but we start to give out more spaces (like today) and have less ball possession (not that he can't cover the ball, but he rarely does it). The mix of both + some dribbles + tricks + better ball control outside the box, and we have Sheva (and that's why both complented greatly with Sheva around).
