My connection's been really shitty since yesterday ..pity I couldn't stand up for Messi and co.

Still, apart from some immature blind hate of all things Blaugrana I don't think Fiero or Madridista had a logical point.

:fp: Watch what is happening on the field. It is not SAF that is humiliated there, its Busquets. A whole world had their fists shaking, for good reason.

Do you really think Busquets was feigning there? Since you watched what happened on the field then I presume you did see the PAINFUL collision that led to that scene. I wouldn't wish that on my enemy, at the sorts of speed a modern football match is played for that matter.

Media hype:o and honestly, who would say anything bad about Messi when asked about him?

Give me a break please. He was amazing in the world cup, but Maradona and everybody else conspired against him. Right:rolleyes:

If the WC teaches us anything its that Xavi/Iniesta are more important for Barca's success than ratface.

Spot on! I came away with this impression from the WC. Spain succeeded because they had the Barca foundation. They did fine without Messi. However Messi failed horribly at the WC without his fellow midgets. If Messi really wanted to prove something he should have grabbed the Germany game by the horns and pull off a Maradona type performance, but we all know how that went.

BTW, "ratface" is such an accurate nickname! damn the fucker is hideous.

Messi in Argentina? Can't really say why he doesn't live up to the billing but one reason struck me some seconds back..the calm, unperturbed atmosphere in Barca..they don't shuffle managers after every 10 horror games (that rarely happens anyway :star:), the media loves the club, the fans are very close to the 'face-next-door', 'ordinary' players unlike Madrid's divas who have to always have their Hollywood styling on :D, the team's been together for a while, very balanced..you hardly get players being sold, only renewals and youngsters stepping up from :star:Enrique's:star: team..a bit like the case in our dear club. Not much controversy in the Nou..the focus is solely FOOTBALL, unlike that other team that either has the Rabbiteer jawing away as always or Valdano trying to look sharp in his new ego suit. Or Zizou attracting more column inches (like Dalglish would say) in Marca than actually 'advising' the club, whatever that means. Disruption everywhere.

Well in a rather contrived sense the Argentine situation, at least for the last three years or so, has been a bit like Perez's spoilt kids. Changing managers, each trying to tear apart the old structure that the veterans (Cambiasso for ex.) have become used to and then attempting to restructure, which we forbid in Barca :D, the CONSTANT reshuffling of the first team (I'm not even sure whom Batista'll field against us on Wednesday, so many new names), the troubled AFA, the meddling media..all these contribute to a lack of balance within the team either directly or not, and with the constant castigation of Messi whenever he doesn't 'pull a Barca' it's downhill, no buts. I'm not sure the Argentine NT have a sure primary formation; it's always changing..I'm probably wrong as I've not watched them that much under Sergio.

The devil's in the small print, those small details that we don't often hear about, that only get manifested during the ~93 minutes.

Sure Spain won the WC with Xavi/Iniesta/Busquets, but they also averaged a single goal per game in the four playoff games and four goals in three groupstage games, while Barcelona averaged twice that in the CL playoffs and MUCH more in the league. And this is despite Spain having the EXACT same front 6 available as Barcelona (- Messi) and usually playing all five.

That argument is getting so old and overdone. It's like all the clever pundits who suddenly discovered that Makalele was an important player, and then suddenly everyone realised he (And every DM in the world) was the most underrated player in the world, and didn't stop saying it on every occasion.

Better than the usual excuses from the Messi fanboys. He was awsome in the WC, but the ball was bad and so was the weather. Plus Tevez, Macherano and co are really crap players and never give him the ball.

:o

As far as I know, people gave you stats, you refuse to believe them, it's your own fucking problem. No one is saying Messi tore shit up in the WC, but he wasnt a Flop either like you like to believe. He had a pretty decent world cup and considering he was playing as a midfielder, his job was to create first, not score, he had Higuain and Tevez to do that. Or do you wanna go and watch the Nigeria game again and check how many inhuman saves Enyeama made in denying him a goal?

I wish Madrid had never sold him. Every team suddenly needed that "Makelele type player".

Glorious turn of phrase. There really is no justification for his face.

Haha, cannot stand the man. Granted they're mostly all liars but, he took it to an extreme going back on a set of rather substantial promises, I even voted for him on such a basis. At least with Berlu at the Rome final he was mad keen on football.

Classic unforgettable MoM performance from a goalie who's BIGGER than the whole Israeli league.

Better than Kameni by miles. :star:

Wednesday's like the 1,632,402nd :D Nigeria-Argentina game in all FIFA cadres and friendlies but sadly there'll be no Messi. :(

Would've loved a Mikel-Messi rematch..unfortunately it's clear who improved drastically over the last 6 years.

FU Jose for killing off Mikel!!

Indeed, it was a very decent performance from a very decent player. One of the best in fact. But the absolute best, or even the best of history? Youre having a laugh.

You dont consider him the best nowadays so why would you waste your time arguing if he is the best ever ?

Your point exactly? :conf:

Stop being unneccesarily bitter, at least your fuckboy C. Vagino broke the all-time Pichichi record but will only have to do with a mere CDR while Lionel's up for a WPOTY hattrick..

Stomach that.

Barcelona can hang it off their hole

Only a churlish arsehole would choose this week to have a pop at Barcelona. With that in mind, here are my top six reasons why I couldn’t enjoy their victory.

1) Sergio Busquets

Race Relations’ Sergio Busquets has a dark side – I imagine he’d hate that term – that we’ll only hint at here. However, the man is unfathomably disgusting. The kind of scumbag that you wouldn’t piss on even if he really wanted you to piss on him. The diving, the cheating, the self-importance. You can pass the ball, Busquets, but you’re a shithouse. If you’re going to be dirty, at least be violent. It’s a tragic waste to destroy the game without a sense of dignity about how you’re doing it. Did our grandfathers die in the war for this? Unlikely.

2) Card waving

Every two minutes, they harass the ref to wave an imaginary card. It’s not allowed when Race Relations’ John Terry does it, and it’s not allowed when the finest midfielders of our generation do it. You’d expect this from Dani Alves, and Race Relations’ Sergio Busquets, because they act the cunt in every other aspect in their on-pitch demeanour. Xavi and Andres Iniesta are so wonderfully pure with the ball though, that they simply don’t need to do it. It’s provocative as it serves so little effective purpose. That they have magic in their feet and intelligence where footballers don’t often, their heads, really does tarnish their legacy unnecessarily. It’s all so pointless. They do it to win, but they’re already so far clear of their rivals that the talent gap takes care of results. Real Madrid reduce the game to niggling farce because they don’t have the players to ensure victory. It’s pathetic and joyless to watch Barcelona at it too. It’s just another example of Barcelona’s moral hypocrisy to claim they play football the right way, while so often they’re doing it the Objectionable Cunt way.

3) Sergio Busquets

Race Relations Cunt.

4) The Cantera Lie

They’ve spent more money than most other clubs, and amazingly they’ve been the most successful. Yes, their youth team is to be credited, as is their football philosophy. But this isn’t some grand, remarkable success. This is logic plus capitalism (and a £150 million loan last summer). There’s nothing noble going on here, move along chaps.

5) Catalan pride and its associated anti-egalitarianism

For a city that went so well in the Civil War to provide a working model of anarchism, they haven’t half fallen. Catalan pride is now so ingrained that it is often expressed in the fact that as a richer part of Spain (and if they aren’t part of Spain, they need to stop playing for the side) they complain that their taxes support the less well off part of Spain. Barcelona are an expression of Catalan nationalism. Barcelona are Daily Mail readers capable of an exceptional through ball.

6) The Journalists

Only in the period before Paul Hayward lost his virginity have we had to endure such student journalist wank. They’re very good at playing football, uncommonly talented and organised, but the praise they deserve is out of reach for your average (and worse) writer. It’s not Barcelona’s fault, but I’ll take anything I get if it means I can hate Race Relations’ Sergio Busquets just a little more.

 :proud:

I don't like the bit where he says that Busquets can pass the ball.

a bit late .. but congratulation for Barcelona.
they really amazing. perfect game and perfect football. best football that i've ever seen. you have to be one solid family if you achieve what they achieved right now. no need to shame for MU for losing from such a complete team like them. really nice attitude from Puyol and Xavi to let Abidal lifted the trophy. and to call something outstanding is Lionel Messi. such a great player. he helped the team to move forward even the things is difficult. example when Rooney equalised the score Messi and team seemed to be calm and score the next 2 goals. have to admit.. Barcelona is the team that dream by most of football fans. a perfection came if the compliment is not came only from their own fans but also came from their rivals. i quote this from my local newspaper which was taken from few medias all over the world :

La Gazzetta: we don't want this final is over

The Sun: 87.695 people get the honoured to watch one of the best performance that ever existed in Champions League and maybe the greatest player ever in Lionel Messi

btw.. i saw the video of celebration in Camp Nou.. LOL at Pinto and David Villa

i quote this from some poster at youtube :

Barcelona can do 3 things better than Real Madrid

1. score brilliant goals

2. get into the final or semi finals of nearly every leauge

3. hold a cup without dropping it. lol!

:D

What? Manchester 06-09 in front of Sacchi's Milan?

Inter 08-10 in front of Milan 02-07? We've reached three finals in this period...

LOL @ even Porto 2002-2004 being in front of Milan 2002-2007. That sums that crappy list up pretty good.

It's obviously a load of rubbish, United 1999 > United 07-09.
