I don't think it's entirely his fault that all three midfielders are defensive players. He's a B2B player and no one can provide those good passes for him to score.
A B2B as in moving from one Serie B club to another, yes.I don't think it's entirely his fault that all three midfielders are defensive players. He's a B2B player and no one can provide those good passes for him to score.
Mesbah is the worst player in this squad followed by Nocerino,Traore,Constant. We should trade all 4 + a biscuit + option to buy for a great midfielder. PSV please accept this offer.

but that's the thing. Noce is just very badly suited to our current tactics/style of football.I don't understand why everyone's saying 'this is the real Nocerino', 'last year was a fluke' etc. Why are his bad performances any more real than his good ones? Just because he played better when we had someone in the team whose style suited his own doesn't mean he's suddenly terrible now. He just can't play as well as he did because circumstances have changed.
Also there is no way on earth he is worse than Traore or Constant.
Because if you look at what Nocerino has produced over longer time you wouldnt say that last years Nocerino was the normal Nocerino. He had scored like 3 Serie A goals prior to last season

Noce is at his best making frequent, consistent, central runs from deep, feeding off creative forwards (Zlatan, Cassano).
unfortunately, that is pretty much the entirety of his niche. he is not a creative midfielder like Montolivo due to his poor passing and vision, not a defensive midfielder like De Jong because he has below average tackling and marking/tactical awareness and not an dynamic attacker like KPB because he is not fast, strong or has good technical skills and dribbling.
he is struggling badly to find a place in our new, more direct system. living off past season's glory.
that said, neither Constant nor Traore seem to be any better. I'd prefer Ambro and NDJ to start as double anchors with Monty pushed further forward.

I don't know about the hate, but the calls for him to be benched are more than justified.I agree that he isn't working very well in the team at the moment, and he seems to be suffering a lot from the loss of Zlatan, but I don't think he can be criticised for that. He's still working really hard, trying to help the team as much as he can and trying to be effective in the way he was last year, but he can't because last year's team obviously played very differently.
I'd say last year exposed his strengths while this year (so far) is exposing his limitations. That isn't his fault though and while I'm definitely not saying we should build the team around him, I don't think it's fair that he's getting so much hate.
Agreed that ideally none of he, Constant or Traore should start (with Noce in his current form anyway), but of the three he is the one I would choose every time.
Sure, but he had never played in a team which suited him so well before. Zlatan was the perfect team mate for him. That doesn't mean it was a fluke season, or that it doesn't reflect what he's actually capable of. It means that he needs specific types of player to bring out his best form, and without them he is much less effective. It's not like he's suddenly become horrible.

He has fooled many people, Milan fans, Prandelli, Allegri, B&G, EA Sports.

No matter what you write , it doesnt justify him starting over montolivo/dejong, urby or even flamini. Thats where he gets the hate. You think any of us would be pissed if his ass was parked on the bench which is where he deserves to be? No . He has fooled that halfwit allegri and milan is suffering because of this. In the current system we need to play the other mids.
