Not really, but if it came across as confusing then I apologise for the misunderstanding as it's only counter-intuitive to having a discussion, but those words - and those words alone - denoted the meaning I wished to convey. And frankly, describing the extent to which the stupidity in this thread has frustrated me requires specific lexis.

lol at the funny mentality on here

"who cares if we win Copa" :fp:

If it was that irrelevant of a cup how come other big teams win their domestic doubles and we never do

I mean ever in our history

its the only domestic Italian cup for God's sake

the leagues equivalent of Copa del Ray and FA cup

about time we won a domestic double

+1
Carletto won ChL, and two or three days later he won Coppa.
His champions weren't tired from an epic final and celebrations in Manchester, celebrations in Milano and that final game vs Roma.
Nowdays, Allegri's "champions" are tired from what?
He should have tried to win Coppa, and not to screw us in the first game.
And if we knew that only win at Barbera lead us to the final, WTF Pirlo/Bonera/Seedorf were doing on the pitch against a fast team which played counterattacking football?
Fuck this, we had an unique chance to win double, and Allegri screwed it big.
And all people that are defending him are delusional. Tomorrow, he will lose scudetto or ChL like this, if he doesn't know how to appreciate every single game.
We made Inter's season very good with this loss. They will end this season with 3 trophies instead with just two. We could kill their silverware run in a fashion, but we lost 12345789643357th time in same amount of matches on that fucking Barbera.:fp:

What i am trying to say here is Yes it would of been nice to win the coppa but we didint so lets stop crying about and console ourselves with the fact that we won a much but much more important cup , the scudetto . Its not like allegri told his players to lose tonight , its just we got beat , thats all . Palermo played a solid game , have always done good vs milan and also were boosted by the fact that milan were missing players like boateng-zambrotta and ibra (for 75 mins) .

There was no misunderstanding since I didn't understand a word.

Seriously, same goes for this post bar the bit I just responded on.

That dive for the penalty had to be one of the worst I've seen in years..I loved how boss just snatched the ball and started running back down field, rightfully so..but eh, we got the mufuggen scudetto..sure the double would have been great but this is such a huge improvement from seasons past..mad props to allegri.such class..and we already got two players and haven't spent any of berlus money..next season will be beast if we get midfielders..and ganso.

Gotta be honest I am gutted we're out. The atmosphere Saturday night will now be much more sombre in the stadium. However it has to be said that whilst Allegri did make a mistake fielding Pirlo and Seedorf due to his lack of options, i like others saw this coming before I even saw the team sheet. Granted he could've used Urby instead of Pirlo who I personally think has lost the top 10-15% of his game (this really saddens me to see). We've been weak on set pieces against us all season, but I really have to level a lot of blame at the referee. We were poor anyway but that just ripped us apart when he bought that dive.

Again as soon as Antonini was injured my worst fears were confirmed when Bonera was brought on. He's not necessarily that bad a defender but he's a definite bad luck charm for us. Him and Pirlo provided less cover than imaginable against their offensive threat, but i dont think Urby would've been much more effective.

In summation - gutted at the loss but ill post equal blame at three culprits: the players attitude clearly not up for it, won't name names they all seemed lacklustre; Allegri's choice of players but then, his options were very limited when our two most effective players (in my opinion) of Ibra and Prince weren't 100%; and the referee. I'm the last person to normally post blame at a referee because teams should be good enough regardless of bad decisions but that one was absolutely diabolical and if Ibra is banned for bad language, does logic not dictate that he should be questioned? I've seen the replay often enough, its not a 50/50 or anything, the ref is right behind them as it happens, its not even 90/10, if this had been Ibra diving id have felt ashamed, such as I did when Robinho handled the ball v Chievo for his goal.

MILAN - Here is what Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri and his players had to say after the Rossoneri's 2-1 loss at Palermo:

MASSIMILIANO ALLEGRI:
“We have nothing to reproach ourselves for. The lads did very well, but our finishing was not up to par. We tried right until the end, but a couple of breaks didn’t go our way.
Pirlo had a good game, his qualities are undoubted. We’re going to celebrate in Milan on Saturday. Hopefully there will be a party atmosphere at the San Siro and it will be a great night. It’s a pity about the elimination, but the lads have had a great Serie A campaign, we won the Scudetto and therefore the team deserves to celebrate.”

LUCA ANTONINI:
“I had a collision with Thiago and I felt my knee tweak. When I left the field I was in serious pain. Now it feels better, we’ll see the results of the medical tests. Pippo called me, because he saw it on TV and he got frightened by the images of my injury. His call is the umpteenth demonstration of how united this group is. It’s a shame about this injury because it’s been a while that I didn’t play and I really wanted to prove my worth to those who have criticised me in this period. Anyway, I’ll do it next season. The team deserves applause for having pushed until the very end. Now we'll end the season with one trophy, but it’s OK”.

DANIELE BONERA
"We played a good first half, even if we should have scored on Robinho’s early chance. Another problem is that on the set pieces we are not as dangerous as we could be. Anyway, now we have to think about celebrating with our fans on Saturday".

IGNAZIO ABATE:
“I did well in the first half, then fatigue slowed me down a bit. After the break we controlled the play, but we didn’t manage to turn our dominance into goals. Palermo didn’t create any chances before their first goal, whereas Milan played well for at least 50 minutes. We knew it wouldn’t be an easy game. We put our heart into it for 95 minutes... maybe if Ibra’s shot had went in off the post, the result would have been different. Now let’s enjoy the Scudetto success. I hope that on Saturday a lot of fans and lots of children will come to the stadium ”.

ANDREA PIRLO
"Now I'm fine and I really wanted to play. It’s a pity about the result, we wanted to reach the final. Today I made my 400th appearance in this shirt. In the coming days I’m going to have a meeting with the club to make a decision on my future. Now we’ll enjoy the rest of the championship, celebrate with our families and supporters, who really deserved this success. There will be a great party at the San Siro Saturday night".

So I just read that both Zamparini and the defender that fouled Zlatan admitted to the press that it would have been right to give us a penalty.

Things could have been so different if Zlatan had gotten that late penalty. We would have gone into overtime, and I just know we would have scored again if Zlatan had a little more time, just looking at what he managed to do with little time on the ball.

We could have gone into the finals if Allegri had made differet choices in team selection in these two legs against Palermo, I hope he learns from this till next year.

i dont like blaming allegri cuz i love the guy, best coach we've had in a while, but dat starting midfield wasnt too good

i cooled down now, and youre right, we have good players on the bench also palermo has some really fast players, playing dorf and pirlo wasnt very smart by allegri, next year milan will go for everything and with this base team,
im sure they will have it

silvio promised "gifts" cause they won the scudetto and we all know how silvio loves CL

I dont care what competition it is when we lose it sucks

Guttered that we got kicked out would have loved to do the double and another game against merda this season would have been great. I'm just hoping that this doesn't dampen our celebrations after the cagliari game

Antonini ---> Serie C

Not his fault. Poor performances all around. If Antonini had gotten back to back red cards people would be losing their mind, but he didn't, that was Ibra. Cut the guy some slack! He's not starting material, but a good squad player for sure.

I decided to switch off when we made a very poor effort at a free-kick which Abate earned when he was brought down by Balzaretti but stayed long enough to see them score 1st and than went to bad.

So was Cassano brought in at least for 20 mins? I thought we missed him to break their stubborn defense and Binho's miss in initial mins is not even worthy of a aaarrrggghhhhhh!! coz you expect him to do that these days.

Palermo-Milan 2-1: oh, well...we'll always have Rome
Posted by Jovan
Remember when Allegri said the players were going to bed right after dinner on the night the scudetto was won? I'm not sure how many of you are aware of this, but during that dinner, Berlusconi used the fact he outranks Allegri to let the players celebrate until 5 A.M. Am I looking for excuses? Sure I am. The team didn't play too poorly today but some players seemed unmotivated and slower than usual. That's what I'm like after a hangover too.

Well that was a buzzkill. To be fair, this match came at the worst time right after Scudetto celebrations, but no excuses. We lost. At least the midget didn't score.

Also, I would prefer going out to Palermo in a tight game than lose to Merda in the final.

Roma better beat the fuck out of Merda and **** those pink faggots in the final.

Scudetto hangover. However, Milan had chances which they failed to take, so no excuses.

The starting midfield, Pirlo + Seedorf was bound to fail, that's the third time Allegri puts slow mids together vs Palermo, three times same mistake. Also this was lost in first leg when we only got 2-2, to go to Barbera you need a 2 goal margin with the luck they have against us.

We fielded a B-team in the first leg, and second leg everyone was still tired from celebrarting, also the MVB thing was surely not a penalty, Ilicic wen down like he was shot and MVB berely touched him. There was a clear penalty for us in the 95th minute not given on Ibra, defender admits it in the Corriere Dello Sport.

Still no excuse, there was not enough grit and determination shown by Milan to get through, and this match and the last 3 Serie A matches were average, good that the season ended because if there were two months left we would suffer to keep our lead playing that way

Too bad for the loss. Beating Palermo should become an objective as itself. I blame MilanMB for screwing it up.
