That wasn't the same season. But check it out.. He's gone through 48 and 39 game seasons without a single foul!!!!!!

And that too, in winning the champions league... That's even more impressive than Nesta's. See 2002/03. Tell you what. If ever there was God on a football pitch, it was Paolo Maldini..:)

I don't think fouls were being recorded during those seasons, he seems to have yellow cards but no fouls committed doesn't make a lot of sense. I agree with the bolded part though :p

EDIT: Last season: 20 fouls in 31 games at the age of 40. Legend!

Nava: "Few 80 million for Silva and T. Pato, when compared to C. Ronaldo and Kaka"

Stefano Nava directed the Sky of Genoa-Milan, spent a strong opinion about the alleged offer that Chelsea could come in via Turati for the duo made up of Brazilian Thiago Silva and Alexandre Pato. " If you think that Kaka was paid 65 million, while C. Ronaldo 85 frankly 80 million for T. Silva Pato seem just a few . " The former Rossoneri then pointed out: "If Milan want to win in the future must start from these two players are the pillars of reliability and great future, would sell like throwing in the towel."

since Brazil doesnt seem to have anyone that is all that good at LB, and Thiago is awesome pushing up, does anyone thing he could play LB? having Maicon-Lucio-Juan-Silva is a pretty sweet defense with Alves on the bench

just cause he's athletic as hell doesn't mean he's meant for FB.

Anyway if you think about it..... Brazil is actually built again for a 3-5-2 because Bastos + Marcelo can attack like the best of them on left and they got an influx of good CBs

I'm happy that he's in the NT squad, he deserves to go to the WC, such a great season he had here in Milan :proud:
Don't know if he will also get playing time there, but imo he def. should play, he's just awesome and I want to see him on the pitch in WC.

he played there early in his career. LB seems to be the only position in the back five that Brazil needs help at

Ts surpassed all my expectations .At the beginning of the season i really did not expect him to be the monster of a player he is now .I hope he keeps this up and hopefully both him and Nesta will have a injury free season in 2010/2011!

Wat a player !! I never thought he's goin to be so good . 'll be world's best CB in 2 years time.

Where r the anti Brazilians who were abusing Galliani for signing him instead of Santacroce and Bochetti an year back :D:D?

I think it was well over 2 months he played with a yellow card away from suspension. What a guy, let's hope he grows even better! He's a genius right now, but as always he can add to his game, love how he dribbles through the middle. :D

Yes, great gift from Leo, too bad this may will be his last one :(

It was really a long time he played with that yellow, amazing he got through the rest of the season without getting booked and therefore suspended. Massive job he's done there, played like a monster but still didn't get a card, he's just amazing. :proud: He can be a Milan legend in the future if he stays here for a long time and continues to play like this. Thiago was awesome in his first season here and I'm really happy to have him because without him this season would've ended worse.

it's only fair for my 1000th post to be in this thread - TS has been the revelation of the season, monster in defense (particularly when he had Nesta by his side), but also productive going forward at times.
I hope he will be our CB for a long, long time, no matter what offers from Chelsea, R.Merda, ManShitty we receive.
