Will you go "on strike" if Kaka leaves?

Milan14Legend recently made a comment in another thread that if Kaka left, he would no longer support Milan until B&G were gone. It got me to thinking, do any of you feel the same way?

If Kaka goes, would you boycott Milan and instead just root for your favorite players until there was a management change? Or are you of the belief that no player is bigger than the club and that we'll survive?

I've included a poll, so feel free to explain your choice. All I ask is that it's kept relatively short and sweet; we don't need yet another thread full of long, winded diatribes. Thanks.

Its very hard to stop supporting a club that you've adored from day one. But With B&G on board we have just proved how pathetic we have become. I can understand Sheva's sale, he requested it. But thats not the case for Kaka.

If he is sold to ManCity, im not going to support this club untill and unless B&G leave. You dont kill the goose that lays the golden egg.

This transfer-saga got me thinking. I was the one trying to convince some here this might happen and it wouldn't be such a bad thing for the club overall. Now that it can come reality it hit me pretty hard so I decided if it goes through I'll watch Maldini's career to the end and then go to some rehab program to get less attatched to football. Probably leave the forum too. Though I doubt I can get it out of my veins totally.

I started supporting Milan for the simple reason that they had Cafu, Dida, and especially Kaka' in the team. I started supporting the club for those reasons, but it was the club overall which made me love this team and start being a Milanista.

Kaka', as I said before, for the time being is Milan. But Kaka' isn't bigger than Milan.

Boycotting just isn't an option, not for me at least.Milan comes first, something I have no doubt about.

It sucks that we've reached a level were we even consider this(Boycotting), but seriously I can't blame no one.

Hope he stays, the idea of him crying broke me apart, but leaving? Oh Shit!

He was supposed to be close to Madrid, Chelsea,... too but look where he is now.

I hate to say this, but if you stop supporting your team because a particular player leaves, this doesn't make you a good supporter. I speak from experience; as a Manchester City supporter I have stuck with the club through thick and thin, I actually started supporting us 11 years ago, when we were in the 3rd tier of English football (Today's League One). I'm sure that if Kaka leaves you, you will sign someone quality to replace him. You are one of the biggest teams in the world and I'm sure that if Kaka goes, a lot of stars on the world stage would want to join you to become the focal point of your team which Kaka is/was.

i voted no. as you said Beemer no one is above milan. players come and go but milan is always there. sheva's transfer taught me there's no loyalty in modern football except for maldini and that's why we all love him so much. if kaka goes my heart will be crushed and i will be depressed for days. i don't hate him or other milan players only our management for being money grabbers. this one is diffrent from sheva's little sightseeing of london. this time player wants to stay and pledges his future to milan but club is forcing him to go. atm kaka's transfer to shitty looks inevitable and if it really happens as long as i'm alive i will never forgive galliani and berlusconi for this one.

I'd be out of my mind, that's for sure, but when it comes to supporting, nothing will change. Hell, if I've come to like Favalli and Pancaro, I'll come to like any John Doe that represents the team.

I'm not saying that players aren't important, because they are. You fall in love with a club for a number of reasons, players among those reasons. However, players come and go. The reason why I am against this transfer is because players like Kaka don't come in too often to just let them go. We made the same mistake with Shevchenko.
