I don't see your point really, Ronaldo is a player with no affiliation to any club in Europe, like all Brazilians, nobody ever claimed otherwse. He didn't pretend to be a club legend with allegiance to the crest, and then leave to the biggest rival for more money and glory, like certain someone else.

I don't know if he's quicker per se ... he does move into more advanced position thanks to the peeking Biscuit, and perhaps has more stamina. But in terms of outright pace, neither use pace as much as their passing, positioning, vision, etc.

Not sure about pace, but in terms of agility and quickness in small spaces, Xavi beats Pirlo by a margin. Xavi also moves more (hence much harder to mark out), rather than Pirlo who is more Busquetes in constantly staying in front of the back four.
I don't see how Kaka should get any different treatment from Pirlo in terms of loyalty. In fact, Kaka is Brazilian so its obvious he's not a true Milanista, yet he didn't go to the biggest rival, but in another country. If Pirlo went to Madrid there would have been no qualms (actually I would not like it but you get the point).

Allegri is also to blame for not noticing Pirlo's strengths as a player. He really didn't give Pirlo a go at his setup/formations and it is showing now. Pirlo can also be versatile. He could have played out wide in front of a more defensive orientated fullback, or ideally next to a more orthodox defender. Sure, this would mean us fielding only one striker in attack, but we would be able to hold more of the ball + the 3 other midfielders would have a lot more freedom to push forward and support Ibra - which is kind of what Ibra thrives on.
Don't blame only Galliani. Allegri is also at fault for not seeing Pirlo's true potential.
