Hmmm... I'd prefer Aquilani or Cassano over Urby, But I trust Max. I won't be surprised if Urby has a great game.

I guess Urby is faster and will be needed for counters

Will Cesc start for Barca? He seems to be in good form and will be eager to impress. And who can forget 2008 CL last 16.

Match Facts

Previous meetings
• The sides have met 11 times in UEFA competition, recording four wins each and three draws. Barcelona's record in five home games against Milan reads W2 D2 L1.

• Their most memorable encounter was the 1994 UEFA Champions League final in Athens, which Milan won 4-0; it remains the most emphatic final win of the UEFA Champions League era.

• The clubs also contested the 1989 UEFA Super Cup; Milan prevailed again, winning 1-0 at home following a 1-1 draw at the Camp Nou.

• Milan have not won in their last two visits to the Camp Nou, recording a defeat and a draw since a 2-0 win in Barcelona in the 2000/01 first group stage.

• Xavi, Andrés Iniesta, Carles Puyol and Víctor Valdés were on the losing side as Milan claimed a 1-0 group stage victory against Barcelona on 20 October 2004. The Spanish internationals were 2-1 winners when the sides met again a month later at the Camp Nou, Clarence Seedorf and Gennaro Gattuso also appearing in both games.

• The teams last met in the 2005/06 UEFA Champions League semi-finals, Ludovic Giuly scoring in Milan to give Frank Rijkaard's side a 1-0 first-leg lead. The return fixture finished goalless, taking Barcelona into the final.

• The lineups for that game on 26 April 2006 were:
Barcelona: Valdés, Belletti, Márquez, Puyol, Van Bronckhorst, Edmílson, Deco, Iniesta, Giuly (Larsson 69), Eto'o (Van Bommel 89), Ronaldinho.
Milan: Dida, Kaladze, Costacurta (Cafu 64), Stam, Serginho, Gattuso (Rui Costa 68), Seedorf, Pirlo, Kaká, Shevchenko, Inzaghi (Gilardino 79).

Match background
• Barcelona are unbeaten in ten home games since a 2-1 loss to FC Rubin Kazan in the 2009/10 group stage, although a 1-1 draw against Real Madrid CF in last season's semi-final second leg ended a run of nine straight wins at the Camp Nou.

• Josep Guardiola's side have competed in the initial group stage of UEFA competition on 16 occasions, including the final edition of the European Champion Clubs' Cup in 1991/92, and have only once lost their opening game, 3-2 at Newcastle United FC in 1997/98.

• Milan have won the opening fixture in their last ten group stage campaigns but have gone three games without scoring a European goal and won only one of their four away fixtures in last season's UEFA Champions League.

http://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/season=2012/matches/round=2000263/match=2007575/prematch/background/index.html

13 - AC Milan have won only two of their last 13 Champions League games, both against Auxerre. Challenge #ACMilan #ChampionsLeague

The expected formations according to La Gazzetta dello Sport:

barcamilan.png

Our formation is the same one that most Italian media predicted last night, btw.
I like it. :)
good balance between pace and strength.

Al is putting players who will last atleast till minute 70 when running with Barca players and be compact in defense.

Aquilani's defense was piss poor against Lazio and Barca is 10 leagues above em. His overall game is good but he is another player who slows down tempo too. So no surprise seeing Prince ahead of Aqua in this game.

After seeing this formation I like 10 of the 11 players fielded. Urby in starting 11 is just misfortune. I wish one of Ibra or Robinho is healthy to play.

Look at their bench and look at Milan's, so frustrating. This being said, too many people have written Milan off, it will be a huge challenge but the players have to believe, fight for every god damn fuckin' inch they can get.

You're the noob, Allegri is the mastermind. And Boateng did very well at AM, he's did a good job too when playing wide to the right :o

At the bench I'd rather drop Bonera, and give the seat to our youngster (de sciglio, valoti, etc.)

Mastermind? Hes a average coach that picks on players who wont fight back: inzaghi, ronaldinho, pirlo etc lets see how much balls he has this season , i certainly wont miss him if hes gone.
Boateng is an average player he wouldnt even make barcas B team, portsmouth reject

Reasons to hate Barshitlona:

- They think they are god's gift to earth.

- They are trending so won a lot of gloryhunters.

- They believe that the way they play is the right way to play football.

- They have Xavi.

- They are arrogant pieces of shit.

- They are not divers. Diving is falling in the penalty area ala Drogs to win a penalty. What they do is fall behind the center circle then surround the ref asking for a card. Over and over and over again.

- Valdes doesn't stay in his goal as much as he stays out of it. Running continuously trying to catch the ref to ask him to award a card.

- Their substitute GK Pinto's role is to pick fights from the bench ala Joe Jordan.

- They have Xavi.

- They turned Mascherano into a diver.

- The diving squad includes (but is not limited to): Alves, Mascherano, Busquetes, Xavi, Iniesta, Pedro, and Villa.

- They forgot the dark ages they had in the past when they would spend years without a trophy.

- They think their current team is the best team in history.

- They have Xavi.

- Their fans are fucking racists. Always monkey chanting Marcelo and Pepe. They even threw bananas at Marcelo. And we all know what Busquetes told him. Do you want to see them monkey chant Urby today?

- They believe Catalunya should be independent country. Puyol wears a Catalunya flag armband. And they celebrate with the flag of Catalunya. Even have a NT for Catalunya coached by Cruyff. How pathetic is that? Imagine Ambrosini wearing a Milano flag armband.

- Just because they promoted a bunch of good youngsters they believe like they're better than others or something. Even though they spent more than anyone in the world (bar Madrid) in the last years on transfers. Villa, Ibra, Mascherano, Alves, Sanchez, Cygarinski, Hleb, Deco, Eto'o, Ronaldinho, Larsson, Guily, etc.

- They tap up players. And claim 'it would be helpful if he submitted a transfer request'. Wtf is that? Two years of tapping up Cesc and Puyol, Pique, Alves, and the rest making comments on him in the media? Even making him put on a Barca shirt? Disgusting.

- They have Xavi.

- They always get the refs help. CL 2006 the Sheva goal. CL 2008 Chelsea had 3 clear penalties not given. CL 2009 Motta from Inter got a fake red card. CL 2010 Pepe from Real got a fake red card.

- They have some kind of Anti-Mourinho agenda. Just because he was their assistant coach then went on to beat them.

- When they lose they turn on the sprinklers so that the opponents can't celebrate.

- The 'mes que un club' bullshit believing they are better than everyone. 'More than a club'. Wtf? Is it a home for the elderly as well?

- They lost 4-0 in a final.

- They used to brag about being the only club to never wear a sponsor on their shirt. Then when they realized how stupid that was they started to sweeten it a little bit by putting Unicef to go with their special club. And now they wear Qatar Foundation but suddenly the shirt sponsor thing doesn't matter.

- When they lose, expect comments like 'the opponents were anti-football', 'we try to play football the right way', etc.

- When they win, expect comments like 'we won by playing the right way', 'even though the opponents were anti-football'.

- Every team plays football first and foremost to try and put the ball into the net. No, Barcelona play to surround the ref and ask him to card the opponents. One player dives, the rest of the gang (especially Xavi and Valdes who sprints 100 meters to reach the ref) surround the ref and ask him for cards.

- They have Xavi.

- For some reason they promote the image that Pep is the classiest person on earth. But when he loses it like last year's semi-final, no one takes note.

- They believe Messi is the best player in history for some reason. And of course he's an angel sent to earth, despite spitting on opponents, shoving them, kicking the ball in Madrid's fans faces, etc. But of course anyone in Barcelona can't do any wrong.

- They are pieces of shit.

- They are arrogant cunts.

- They are cheating sons of bitches.

- Their fans and gloryhunters deserve to die.

- They have Xavi who is the most arrogant and pathetic butt-hurt person in the entire planet. When he loses he doesn't shake hands with opponents and he blasts them in the media, and when he wins he boasts how good they are and how shit the opponents are. Always diving and surrounding the ref like a kid who is bullied in school and telling the teacher.

FUCK Barthelona, Barshitlona, Barcunts, etc.

Your actually going to criticize Allegri for dropping hardworking Dinho?!? or super-fit Pirlo and Inzaghi?!?!:eek:

Im not really a KPB nor do I think hes suited for the AM role, however atm our options are few and far and frankly hes the best we've got for this kind of game. We need to get into Barca's face right off the bat and hes one of the players that can do it.

And by no means is Allegri average, hes done very well in his first season and he will only improve from here on.

:star: I have an old Barcelona shirt in my chest of drawers, I am ever so tempted to set it alight. But all of the above I completely agree with. I used to detest Real Madrid, I didn't even have a valid reason as they played sublime football in the days of Ronaldo, Raul, Figo and Zidane to name a few. Now I'll ardently support them in El Clasico simply because they're not a set of butthurt cheating arsewipes. The likes of Xavi, Iniesta, Messi, Thiago etc are incredibly talented but they still resort to cheating, they don't even need to that's what hurts the most.

I'm not even jealous of the team they have. To me I see no club icons in their line up just talent after talent on the production line with zero personality.

I didn't mean they have Xavi as in he's a good player. I meant they have Xavi as in the cunt that he is. I definetly would not want Xavi in my team. I rather lose all matches that have that son of a bitch don the jersey of my fav club.

- They help Messi to grow tall.

And grow his penis. He had a micro-penis. True story. Another motive behind this genius joke?

"Messi once entered the bedroom of a girl with whom he hoped to score. The girl tells him to get comfortable and she leaves the room to go freshen up. To her amazement, when she returns, she finds him lying on the bed completely nude with two other naked guys and shouts; "WHAT'S GOING ON?"...Smiling Messi calmly replies: "I am sorry dear, but I can't perform without Xavi and Iniesta!"

This joke is genius on so many levels.
