Montolivo always grows into games. Since minute 35 or so, he was very good. We do need one more passing player, but Montolivo will thrive at Milan.

Can't believe Marchisio didnt do more than him

pirlo always covered a lot of distance. he simply never stops moving.
marchisio is so overrated it hurts.

Monty played well, thought he did much better when he started playing the ball from deeper. He naturally wants to sit where maestro sits and has to remind himself he should be higher up the pitch. Once he starts to gel with our style he will be great.

Not bad for a player who supposedly was unfit.

he was forced to be more defensive after DDR left. hence he cut back on his runs forward and let Pirlo do the job of creating.

Definitely enjoyed watching Monty play. Very good display. If he can put in performances like that on a regular bases, then he will probably be a best signing. Even if we do sign another midfielder.

Montolivo showed in this game he can also be great playing high up the pitch(trequartista) as long as it's not in an outdated, static 4-3-1-2, which Italy's wasn't..

Pretty much this.He had some potential like what 5 years ago?Since then he has been mediocre to shit in the past 2 seasons.Even when Fiorentina was doing better he was nothing more then a mediocre player.

Now he has one decent,not even good game with Italy and everybody here is wetting there pants.Quite pathetic how the standards for quality have gotten so low around here.

He is Milan's best midfielder by a country mile before even stepping foot on the pitch for the team. That's how shit the others are, so be grateful that the team has him.

It's going to take a miracle and super performances from Montolivo to get the team competing. The new orchestrator and playmaker in midfield. Super excited to witness him!
