honestly it would have been worth it to pay him to stay even if you never wanted to play him, Juve would be 10 points further back easily.
We really could have used him here this season too... I think that Nocerino and Prince would have worked really well with him due to their willingness to run and that he would have enhanced the good season Ibra is having
Few people would have liked that more than me BUT if Galliani's REALLY going to practice financial prudence, he has to start somewhere.
Pirlo is 32 (turning 33). He's not physically strong and just had an injury riddled year. To give him a 3 year deal, would have been a bad idea, especially when this concept has continually burnt milan over and over with so many players for last decade.
Yes he bounced back but meh.
As a fan of pirlo, and all he can do, I'm sad we didn't keep him. But as a milan fan who knows what needs to be done... I can't fault Galliani.
I fault management for not replacing him with anyone but a very injury prone player. And a fault management more for thinking aquilani + seedorf can get it done for creativityi n 2012...
